About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in West Columbia, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. Through a visible presence and routine security-related activities, you will help deter incidents while supporting smooth site operations. The position is scheduled Monday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials or visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
Help control the entry and exit of vehicles, trailers, and personnel in accordance with site procedures and shipping and receiving operations.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the facility perimeter to identify unauthorized activity or security-related concerns.
