About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a healthcare setting in Fairfax, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and facilities by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Additional shifts may be available through the company's Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements; licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

A current guard card or license.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Customer service experience.
CPR and/or First Aid certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and access control procedures.
Report unauthorized individuals and suspicious activity.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
