About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide unarmed patrol checks at an assigned technology location in Plainfield, Indiana. The role has a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours can vary based on claimed shifts, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $17.75 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Duties include conducting patrols, monitoring access points, reporting unusual activity and safety or maintenance concerns, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate records and shift communications.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology location, including offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications to support continuity of operations.
