About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer supporting a government location in Houston, Texas, you will help safeguard the site through routine patrols, a visible security presence, observation and reporting, and professional customer service. The role includes carrying out site-specific security procedures and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
Have a valid driver's license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct visitors and vendors as needed.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when required.
Accurately document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities and complete required reports.
