About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol post in Largo, Florida. The officer will safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control and badge-check activities. The position requires a valid driver’s license and offers a schedule on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at $19.00 per hour. The role involves providing customer service, following security procedures and site-specific policies, responding calmly to incidents and critical situations, and contributing to a reliable team culture. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements; licensing may also be required under state or local regulations. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
- Support access control activities, including badge checks.
