About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology location in Los Indios, Texas, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests. You will communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and help contribute to a welcoming environment. The role includes carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate. The schedule is Tuesday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The pay rate is $13.92 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, hazards, or security concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and credentialing procedures; verify authorized access according to site policies and report discrepancies.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.
