Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role requires providing customer service, communicating clearly, responding professionally to security-related needs, and following site procedures and protocols. The schedule is Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The pay rate is $18.01 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing directions to patients and visitors.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
