About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification in Anchorage, Alaska. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned logistics and distribution site, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift serves as an anchor schedule and requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work more hours, potentially up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related procedures, access screening, monitoring, incident response, documentation, and patrols in accordance with site-specific policies. Employment is subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements, and licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles entering designated areas according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and package-handling operations; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading docks to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
