About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for badge control at an assigned logistics and distribution site in Wyoming, Michigan. The position has a designated weekly anchor shift and requires a six-month commitment to that assignment. The scheduled shift is Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Employees may claim additional open shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially increasing their hours up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $16.53 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and performs access-control, traffic-monitoring, patrol, and incident-response duties in accordance with site policies and established procedures. Work environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support gate operations, and help deter unauthorized access to the facility, yard, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established security-related procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, loading zones, and exterior grounds.
