About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Access in Hardeeville, South Carolina. The role provides a fixed, reliable weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 5:40 AM–4:30 PM.

The position is at a logistics and distribution location and involves customer service, access control, monitoring entry and exit points, checking credentials and shipping documentation, maintaining access records, and patrolling the facility and its grounds. Officers respond to incidents according to site procedures and report concerns to appropriate personnel. On-site facilities are limited and include portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access control policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, driver, and vehicle access records.
• Control access to restricted areas and coordinate with site personnel regarding authorized deliveries and pickups.
• Report unauthorized access attempts and suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
