About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The officer will help create a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring access points, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing professional customer service and communication. The role involves working with employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel and following security procedures and site-specific policies. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; verify credentials and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations and incident details to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to identify unusual activity or security concerns.
• Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and observations, and support a professional, customer-focused environment.
