About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol and badge-check duties at a financial services location in Birmingham, Alabama. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service to visitors and employees. The role involves communicating clearly, documenting security-related activity using a computer or tablet, and working as part of a reliable team that acts with integrity. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Employees may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Maintain a visible security presence to help deter incidents.
Support access control and assist visitors and employees.
Communicate clearly and document security-related activity using computer or tablet systems.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
