About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in York, Pennsylvania, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access control and badge processes. The role includes customer service, clear communication, following site-specific security procedures, and responding to emergencies when appropriate. The scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
Verify credentials, document visitor and contractor entry, and report access irregularities in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
Observe shipping and receiving activity for security-related concerns.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
