About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for asset protection at a chemical/petrochemical location in Inglewood, California. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a team that values integrity, care, agility, reliability, and innovation. The schedule is Monday and Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of industrial facilities, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; report unusual conditions and potential hazards.
Monitor site access by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and communicating access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site-specific response protocols, and notify emergency services or site contacts as directed.
Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
