About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for unarmed patrol and asset protection at a financial institution in Houston, Texas. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Friday, 8:00 AM–6:15 PM. In addition to the anchor shift, the officer may claim extra shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, patrols, and appropriate emergency response activities. The role includes observing and reporting security concerns, responding professionally to incidents and alarms, and maintaining accurate activity reports and logs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state or local licensing requirements if applicable; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, customers, and visitors at a financial institution while following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
