Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Asset Protection
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Los Angeles, California. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors. The role calls for exceptional customer service, clear communication, and professional responses to site needs. The position is scheduled for daytime hours, Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and pays $20.50 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws; a license may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities according to site procedures.
