About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for asset protection patrol at a logistics and distribution location in Clayton, Indiana. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees, visitors, and clients. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and pays $17.77 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
Assist in maintaining an orderly flow of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel according to site-specific procedures.
