About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a chemical and petrochemical location in Buffalo, New York. The officer will safeguard the client by patrolling the facility and surrounding areas, maintaining a visible security presence, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and following site-specific procedures. The role includes responding to incidents and documenting patrols, observations, and activity. The position pays $20.25 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in accordance with site protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and designated operational zones.
Monitor and report unusual conditions, damaged barriers, unsecured doors or gates, hazardous conditions, and potential security concerns to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and visitor or contractor activity according to site reporting requirements.
