Security Officer Part Time Theft Deterrence Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in Miami, Florida. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers and staff. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, professional communication, integrity, and teamwork. The stated schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Pay is $19.10 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location, including the sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter, to identify unusual activity or conditions requiring attention.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures according to site-specific requirements.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
Document and report observations, incidents, and policy violations according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
