About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer in a retail location in Columbus, Ohio, you will help safeguard clients, shoppers, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and contribute to a welcoming environment. The role calls for exceptional customer service, professional communication, and accurate reporting. Officers can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The stated schedule is Saturday, 10:00 AM–9:00 PM, and Sunday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local law; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including the sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to location procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location management.
