About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer supporting a technology and telecommunications location in Allentown, Pennsylvania, you will safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and communication. The role involves following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities. The posted schedule is Monday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, offices, equipment areas, parking facilities, and the perimeter, as assigned.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization according to site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
