About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location in Nottingham, Maryland, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, deliver customer service, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. The role serves clients in industries such as retail and malls.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and by carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and report maintenance, lighting, or security-related issues according to site procedures.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
