About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a food market in West Babylon, New York. The role is described as an unarmed patrol position supporting an education location. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The position emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of security concerns. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout educational facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
