About The Position

As a Security Officer - Food Market Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. This is a part-time position scheduled Tuesdays and Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access concerns or policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with site-specific emergency response procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.
