About The Position

As a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Madera, California, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication. You will help create a secure environment through teamwork, professionalism, and integrity while supporting Allied Universal’s people-first culture. The role pays $18.92 per hour and is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The position includes responding to incidents and alarms, conducting regular and random patrols, observing personnel and vehicles, documenting patrol activity and incidents, and reporting hazards or unusual conditions. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access by observing personnel, visitors, and vehicles and verifying authorization according to site procedures.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Promptly report maintenance concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
