About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Patrol Observation in Newton, Mississippi. The officer will patrol assigned areas at a contract logistics location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Duties include routine patrols, observing and reporting unusual activity, supporting access control, and providing customer service and communication. The position offers access to a shift-claiming platform and paid training. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Observe and report unusual activity, maintain a visible deterrent presence, and support access control.
