About The Position

As a Security Officer - Grocery Market Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, including government. This unarmed role supports a government location and involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing professional customer service and clear communication. The position is part-time, with scheduled shifts on Tuesday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
