About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer conducts routine unarmed patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responds professionally to concerns. The role also provides customer service and clear communication to support a welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, assisting with visitor management and access-control processes as assigned.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow emergency response protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications, maintaining professional interactions with site personnel and the public.
