Security Shift Supervisor Food Market
About The Position
Allied Universal Services is hiring a full-time Security Shift Supervisor for a food market in the Columbus Circle area of Manhattan. The role works the 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift, with candidates expected to be flexible Monday through Sunday. The pay rate is $29.75–$30.75 per hour. The Security Shift Supervisor supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality security services during an assigned shift at a customer site. The supervisor serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. The position supervises staff on the assigned shift and provides coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 21 years of age.
- At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security experience.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal professionally and effectively with personnel at all levels and the general public.
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Ability to prepare written reports and logs frequently in neat, legible handwriting.
- Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.
- Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
- Ability to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in cold, rainy, snowy, or hot conditions; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders; and stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
- For driving positions: valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience; a clean driving record under the stated criteria; minimum insurance required by company policy; and ability to safely operate a vehicle.
Responsibilities
