About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Lexington, Kentucky. The role provides a designated site and fixed weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment. In addition to the assigned shifts, the officer may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The position pays $19.00 per hour and is scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service to members of the campus community and carries out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Duties include foot and/or vehicle patrols, monitoring access and facilities, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting observations and events.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the campus community while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and campus facilities, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with campus contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain detailed activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and other security-related events.
