About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for a roving patrol role at an aerospace and defense location in Archbald, Pennsylvania. The position has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

The Security Officer provides customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. The officer responds to incidents and alarms, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access, and completes required reports and logs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and escalate discrepancies or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation.
