About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed roving patrol Security Officer in San Antonio, Texas. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned healthcare facility, with a fixed weekly schedule requiring a six-month commitment. The designated shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. In addition to the anchor shifts, officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back. The pay rate is $15.95 per hour.

The officer provides customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include responding to incidents and medical emergencies, patrolling facility and surrounding areas, monitoring access and visitor activity, and documenting and communicating relevant observations.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and in a problem-solving manner to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations while following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
