Security Officer Part Time Roving Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location in Boise, Idaho, you will safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public; communicate professionally; and report observations promptly. The role supports critical operations and involves site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The position is part time and pays $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations before employment.
- Possess a valid driver's license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at utility facilities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site requirements.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, unusual conditions, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Complete accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
