About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a manufacturing chemical site in Pasadena, Texas. This is a full-time, unarmed position paying $17.46 per hour, with weekly pay. The first interview will be in person.

The Security Officer safeguards the client site by providing customer service, following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding calmly to incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter. The work may involve standing and walking for extended periods and working outdoors in varying elements and site conditions. The role uses computers or tablets for gate access and involves badging and access control.

Applicants must have at least one year of security experience, a clean driver’s license with no flags or suspensions, and comfort using computers or tablets for gate access. Applicants must meet the age and education or experience requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• At least one year of security experience.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
