About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Olympia, Washington. The role safeguards clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, helping deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control operations. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment.

The position pays $22.25 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under state or local requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity.
• Report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.
