About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed - Site Monitor in West Columbia, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering service and communicating effectively. The role includes carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. The position is full-time and pays $14.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m., and Friday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state or local licensing requirements if required for employment.

Nice To Haves

Access-control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, follow site-specific procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
