About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to serve as a Site Monitor at a logistics and distribution location in Hartsville, South Carolina. This is a driving post focused on safeguarding employees, visitors, and operations through patrols, access monitoring, customer service, and security-related support. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must comply with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants for armed roles must be at least 21 years old.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs is required.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of shipping and receiving areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support orderly entry and exit procedures.
Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal reporting requirements.
