About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard a financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves armed patrols and perimeter assessment, maintaining a visible security presence, responding professionally to security concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position pays $23.41 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Armed guard card or license.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and remain aware of individuals and vehicles entering or leaving the location.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and unusual observations in accordance with company and site policies.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
