About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer in Norwich, New York. The officer will serve and safeguard clients at a pharmaceutical location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding to alarms and other security concerns. The role also involves providing customer service, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and helping maintain a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliability. The schedule is Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local regulations.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Alarm panel experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at a pharmaceutical location, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to alarms and other security-related concerns.
Communicate professionally with employees and visitors and support a welcoming environment.
