Security Officer Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a retail location in Lubbock, Texas. The officer will serve and safeguard clients in a retail environment by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role also involves assisting customers, associates, and visitors professionally, communicating observations, responding to security concerns, and supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour, with weekly pay. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and may be subject to background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required by applicable state or local laws.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and property-related concerns to store personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Assist with access control and visitor direction, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
