About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a retail and warehouse-style location in Taunton, Massachusetts. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, employees, and visitors. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to situations as they arise. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, medical situations, and other critical events, escalating to site leadership or emergency services as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of sales areas, receiving and loading areas, employee entrances, parking lots, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe deliveries, vendor activity, and customer traffic in accordance with site procedures.
Accurately document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual observations, and report security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
