About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, supporting access control and visitor interactions, and providing customer service and clear communication to help create a welcoming environment. The position pays $19.64 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
Communicate professionally with client personnel, visitors, and public responders as needed to support security operations.
