Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol and emergency response in an educational setting in Penns Grove, New Jersey. The officer will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and families by maintaining a professional, visible presence and supporting a welcoming learning environment. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and pays $17.20 per hour. Applicants must have at least two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Security licensing may be required before employment depending on applicable state or local requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school policies, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a professional presence and communicate respectfully with school staff, students, and visitors to support a positive learning environment.
