About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer in San Jose, California. The role serves and safeguards clients across assigned locations by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service. It is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. Work involves varied client-site environments and conditions. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements. Licensing requirements vary according to state and local law and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
