Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About The Position

As a full-time unarmed security officer in an educational setting in Cheyney, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture. You will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors. The role uses communication and computer or tablet skills to support daily operations. The pay rate is $17.95 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and campus policies and carrying out appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and notification procedures.
Monitor access points; assist with directing visitors and providing information; and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
