About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Springfield, Virginia. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service to employees and visitors. The position uses computer or tablet systems as needed and requires professional communication and adherence to site-specific procedures.

The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, shipping and receiving areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
