About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order by enforcing site regulations and directives relating to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The role also frequently involves providing customer service and information to client employees and customers.

This full-time position is located in East Hanover, New Jersey. The scheduled hours are Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The officer must be able to work all of the listed hours. Pay is $18.00 per hour. A SORA license is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain one. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a reliable means of communication, such as a pager or phone.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation.
• Must have a driver's license with a clean record.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a SORA license or be able to obtain one.
• Must be able to work all listed scheduled hours.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is considered a good fit, but is not required.
