Security Officer Full Time Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a driving patrol post at an aerospace and defense manufacturing location in Asheville, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting controlled access, responding to incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role uses technology and involves working with a team in a mission-focused environment. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The stated pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Guard card or license preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, production areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and support controlled entry for employees, contractors, and authorized guests.
- Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
