About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in lobby operations at an educational location in Atlanta, Georgia, you will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests. You will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor security-related systems, and provide customer service while supporting a secure and welcoming environment. The position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance. The schedule lists Monday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay is $22.71 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and responding professionally to requests.
Monitor access at a front desk, verify visitor credentials as required, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor logs according to site procedures.
Direct guests to campus offices, classrooms, events, and other designated locations while remaining aware of security concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and following emergency response procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, visitor interactions, incidents, and other security-related observations.
