About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location in Herndon, Virginia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide customer service. The role calls for professionalism, clear communication, integrity, and collaboration. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.37 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment, as permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, building perimeters, entrances, parking areas, and other assigned locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity to help ensure authorized entry to restricted business areas.
Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
